TURN AROUND, DON'T DROWN! Heed road closure signs during flooding. Vehicles can become stuck or be swept away in fast-moving flood waters and require rescue.
Follow flood evacuation instructions. Once flood waters rise, it may be too late for first responders to rescue you because resources will be handling other cases.
Keep cell phones charged.
Keep your car gas tank full. Many motorists find themselves stranded because of traffic related to weather conditions.
Life threatening emergencies come first. Snohomish County first responders will be busy with multiple emergencies around the county.
Be prepared for all weather and be ready with a plan.
