National Night Out Our Community

National Night Out 2012 will be held on Tuesday, August 7th

National Night Out is designed to:

-         Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships;

-         Send a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back;

-         Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness; and

-         Generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs.

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office strongly encourages you to hold a National Night Out event in your neighborhood.  National Night Out presents a wonderful opportunity for you to gather with your neighbors, get better acquainted, and talk about issues of common concern.

Consider holding a simple barbecue or ice cream party, or go all out and organize a big event.

If you do hold a National Night Out gathering, let us know the time and location.  We’ll schedule a deputy to drop by and talk with you and your neighbors.

For more information about National Night Out, go to www.nationalnightout.org/nno/ or email the Sheriff’s Office at neighborhoodwatch@snoco.org.
