The Sheriff’s Office of Community Partnerships was created to promote community involvement and collaboration, emphasizing shared responsibility for crime prevention and public safety. The Sheriff’s Office is eager to
work with citizens to keep Neighborhood Watch and Precinct Partnerships
We hold Neighborhood Watch orientations every month, in all three precincts, to guide residents through the process of starting a Neighborhood Watch in their area. We also hold monthly Precinct Partnership meetings in every precinct. These gatherings offer ongoing support and crime prevention training to our established Neighborhood Watch groups. At these meetings you’ll learn valuable crime prevention tips and have an opportunity to talk with a deputy about the concerns in your neighborhood. For more information on the Sheriff’s Neighborhood Watch and Precinct Partnership program, email neighborhoodwatch@snoco.org. Sheriff’s Volunteer Organization We offer a wide variety of adult volunteer activities, including Citizen Patrol, Project Lifesaver, crime prevention activities, and clerical support. To learn more about our volunteer opportunities, click here or email Volunteer Director Ray Baron at ray.baron@snoco.org
The Sheriff’s Office also offers volunteer opportunities for students age 14 – 20, through our Explorer Program. This is a great chance for students to learn about law enforcement as a career choice. Explorers learn how police do their jobs, attend academies and participate in competitions. Many current law enforcement officers started as Explorers. For more information on the Explorer Program click here or call 425-388- 5233.
