LAKE STEVENS, Wash. - The City of Lake Stevens has officially handed over the investigation of last Saturday’s drive-by shooting to the Major Crimes Unit of the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office. All media inquiries will now be handled by the Sheriff’s Office, as well. It is believed that the victim was a 15 year-old Seattle girl, but final identification is pending from the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Detectives are looking into here were two other “shots fired” calls that came in that night in roughly the same area: At around 12:45 AM near the 15000 block of 61st St NE (Lake Stevens) and at 2:30 AM near the 5400 block of 105th St NE (Marysville). Whether these incidents were related to the tragic shooting earlier that night in Lake Stevens is unknown at this time.
At this point, there is no new information to release.

LAKE STEVENS, WA – On Saturday, June 1, 2013 at approximately 11:18 PM, the Lake Stevens Police Department was dispatched to several 911 calls in the area of South Lake Stevens and South Davies Road regarding a possible drive by shooting. Officers responded to the area and observed an unresponsive female victim in the 10600 block of South Lake Stevens Road.
While detectives investigate the incident, they are also looking into numerous other possible drive by shootings that came into the 911 center throughout the region. These additional shootings appear to only have resulted in property damage. It is not clear at this time if the additional calls are related but detectives are continuing to investigate those calls.
The Lake Stevens Police Department is working in conjunction with the Snohomish County Major Crimes Unit and the Marysville Police Department on this incident.
