ARLINGTON, Wash. – The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit is investigating the death of a woman found at a house fire at the 16000 block of Jim Creek Rd last Saturday night. The fire was reported at around 9 p.m. by a neighbor and was responded to by the Arlington Heights Fire Department. At the scene, a neighbor told fire personnel that they were concerned that one of the residents was still inside the home. Early Sunday morning, detectives and fire personnel searched the house and discovered the body of a woman inside the structure.
Identification of the victim, as well as cause and manner of death, are pending from the Medical Examiner’s Office. The circumstances leading to the victim’s death are still under investigation.
