Patrol Services Patrol

The Snohomish County Patrol Division is the largest Division within the Sheriff’s Office.  It is the backbone of the Sheriff’s Office.  The Division is made up of several Precincts, Substations and Units.  The Patrol Division is commanded by the Bureau Chief of Field Operations.  Each Precinct and Substation has supervisors, deputies, investigators, and civilians available to service their area based upon calls for service, caseload needs, and contractual agreements.  Support staff from other bureaus and units frequently supplement these precincts as needed to address community needs.  The local substations provide police service directly to the Community.

South Precinct - is located in Mill Creek and encompasses all of south Snohomish County bordering the City of Everett to the north, the Snohomish River to the east, King County to the south and Puget Sound to the west. The densely populated area is like a large city, comprised of concentrated areas of residential communities, commercial and industrial areas.  It has some of the busiest roadways in the County.  Apartments and new commercial developments continue to spring up throughout south county.

North Precinct - is located in north Marysville and encompasses all of north Snohomish County bordering Skagit County to the north, Chelan County to the east, the City of Everett to the south and Puget Sound to the west. The North Precinct area is suburban with large rural areas made up of farm and National Forest land.  North County continues to grow with new residential areas springing up all around the cities. North county also has the Tulalip Indian Reservation in its area. Deputies working the Tulalip Reservation are cross-commissioned to handle tribal members.

East Station: Under the command of the North Precinct, the East Station handles calls in the east county region.  The east county region borders North Precinct boundaries to the north, King County to the east and south and the Snohomish River to the west. The east county region is made up of mostly rural and residential area and includes small cities, farm and National Forest land.

Stanwood Police Department is the Sheriff’s Office largest contract city and it is under the direction of the North Precinct. The Stanwood Police Department Substation service contract is a "stand alone" model, which means the agency is recognized by the State as a separate police agency for record keeping and statistical purposes.

Gold Bar Police Department is the Sheriff’s Office second largest contract city.  The Gold Bar Police Department Substation is also under the direction of the North Precinct.

Darrington Police Department is also a Sheriff’s Office contract city, but has a regional contract which means that 5 deputies patrol both the Town of Darrington and the Darrington region.  The Darrington Substation is also under the direction of the North Precinct.
